About USATF
USA Track & Field (USATF) is the national governing body for track and field, long distance running, race walking and cross country -- and is United States' member of the International Amateur Athletic Federation, the world governing body for Athletics, as well as a Group A member of the U.S. Olympic Committee.

Through our nationwide membership of more than 2,500 clubs, schools, colleges and universities, and other organizations interested in track and field, long distance running and race walking, USATF promotes programs of training and competition for men and women and boys and girls of all ages; protects the interests and eligibility of its some 100,000 member-athletes; and establishes and maintains the sports' rules of competition.

USA Track & Field is comprised of 56 member Associations -- with each representing a geographic area as defined in our Bylaws. For additional information about USATF's competitions, membership information ... and much more, consult our list of topics here on the Web, or contact our National Office in Indianapolis.
